Fabio Frizzi is an Italian musician and composer.
Frizzi is one of the film soundtrack greats, his ominous synth scores the like of Zombi 2, Sette Note In Nero and L'Aldila (The Beyond) are some of the most memorable horror scores and most loved by afficionados of the genre. He is best known for his film scores and was a frequent collaborator with horror director Lucio Fulci but along horror Frizzi has scored an endless array of genres and films for cinema and TV.
He was norn in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy on 2 July 1951. He is the older brother of recently deceased Italian TV personality Fabrizio Frizzi, main actor of NON LASCIAMOCI PIU 1 & 2, to whom the CD is dedicated to.
In 2002, Frizzi returned to collaborate with Bixio and Tempera on the occasion of the soundtrack of Febbre da cavallo - La mandrakata, a sequel to Febbre da cavallo directed by Carlo Vanzina, the son of Steno.
F2F - "Frizzi To Fulci"
In 2012, after a long phase of preparation and rearrangement, Frizzi stages the musical project "F2F - Frizzi To Fulci", a "rock orchestra" formed by 8 elements directed by the maestro perform the soundtracks that the maestro scored for horror films directed by cult director Lucio Fulci. The show proposes the rearranged suites and performed live during the screening of the clips of the most important films of the famous director including Zombi 2, Luca Il Contrabbandiere, L'Aldilŕ, Sette Note In Nero, Paura Nella Cittŕ Dei Morti Viventi and others.
The band has been greeted very well both in Italy (performing two years in a row, in 2013 and 2014, at the Italian Horror Fest and abroad, recording sold out at the London shows in 2013 at the Union Chapel and in 2014 at Barbican Theather and at the Supermassive Festival in Helsinki in the same year.
In October 2015, the band moved to North America, perfmoring in Austin, Los Angeles in the historic Grauman's Egyptian Theater near Hollywood, San Francisco, Toronto and Philadelphia, then in November at Aberystwith in Wales. The lineup sees the maestro Fabio Frizzi on guitars, synths and conducting, Roberto Fasciani on bass, Alessandro Errichetti and Riccardo Rocchi on guitars, Enrico Scopa and Alessio Contorni on keyboards, Federico Tacchia on drums and percussion and Giulietta Zanardi on vocals
