In the fifth month of 1994 A. D. The Dark Opera Of The Ancient War Spirit was brought to the light of day….or maybe night. The Dark Opera; or better Seraphim’s evolution from War Spirit to Light Spirit…A year and a little later Seraphim came back and stormed the gates of staple diet Death/Black/Dark music. A real masterpiece indeed. It was a great honor for us to have the attention of Lord Akhenaton , who shared with us some of his thoughts.

Hello Mario. Thanks for your interest in AKHENATON. I’ve started my project in the winter solstice of June 1993 . I recorded a DAEMONIUM CD in Winter and out in May 94. May 95 to the end of June (Solstice) I’ve recorded the AKHENATON CD "Divine Symphonies", which was released in September 95.
You changed the name of your band from DAEMONIUM to AKHENATON. Why did you do this? And are you still the same component of AKHENATON as you were with DAEMONIUM?
DAEMONIUM was only the first part of the story of Seraphim , I’ve changed the name for the evolution, and for the evolution of Seraphim . DAEMONIUM was a good name for the first CD; I mean at that time he(Seraphim) was like a Demon. At the end of AKHENATON he is a Magic Light, between the elements and the Cosmic/Karmic laws.
So with Divine Symphonies we saw the evolution/reincarnation of Seraphim … his ascent into a more enlighted path, so as for the music…Can you tell us what’s next?
The next step is his evolution into the Wisdom. It will be more on a meditation Music way ! But I know on which format , cause it may be a DEMO!! Only reserved for people interested in this spiritual way, I will see. I can’t tell more for the moment .
Is there a particular reason you prefer to be a one man band?
Yes, I play all instruments . At the beginning it was a personal "Challenge" Now it’s a real pleasure. If I play with other Musicians it will be another band. AKHENATON is my "band" . This is the story of my life.
Kingdom of Wisdom also took life in form of a Video. What about the shooting of the video? … And , do you plan to do it again in future?
The video is not our because of problems with pressing . it was the occasion to touched this art , which I never touched. So, I was very enthusiastic about it . The plan about the video was different , with lots of different atmospheres , though in general the video reminisces quite well the atmosphere on the CD, both Spiritually and Historically.
Since the very first time I heard Divine Symphonies, I noticed a semi-dramatic change in direction; I’m referring to the band’s evolution in a more Symphonic direction… Lots of people commented that this album sounds like a soundtrack…Don’t they realize ?This is a sound track , which suits every moment and mood of the story. Your Words!!
I am very happy that people think so. For me it is a soundtrack, and the video clip is somehow the film that I could release . and the CD could be the music . I’m really satisfied the people think so.

What do you think about the underground scene at the moment in time? Black Metal; till some time ago the Anti-Trend has become the major attraction. What’s next in your opinion?
Lots of guys in the Black Metal scene say they are the Anti trend. But I laugh. THEY are the trend . EMPEROR sold 30,000 CD’s , MAYHEM 50,000. And lots of bands sign on Death Metal labels for money, like DISSECTION on Nuclear Blast. A rumor has it that MAYHEM and ARCTURUS are signing to Century Media , but it’s only a rumor. I think the scene will turn Gothic or Indus or Heavy Metal.
Which bands (under ground and non) do you enjoy listening ? and apart from Metal which other styles you enjoy listening?
Personally I listen to lot of Gothic like WHOREES OF BABYLON, FIEDS OF THE NEPHILIM, SISTERS OF MERCY, THE WAKE.. Industrial like MELEK-THA, IN SLAUGHTER NATIVE (Best), and Soundtracks. That’s what I enjoy listening. That’s why my music is varied ,and (I hope) not so boring!!!! All songs are totally different from one another.
Tell us how is Lord Akhenaton in everyday life ? Do you have a regular job, hobbies, etc.?
Yes, I have a Great Job and a Great Boss. My only hobby is esoterism. It’s been the most important thing in my life since years. I am against all Satanists. I am the eternal magist . All people who fall into Satanism become either drugged by the EVIL or understand reality (for example bands/people like BATHORY, PAUL CHAIN, MORBID ANGEL and lots of others who have taken the right hand path .+A.G.L.A.+ (Ed. !?!?!?!)
If you had been given the chance o live in another era, when/where would it be?
I only care for NOW. I know my past and future.
How would you like to be remembered when you die? And what would be the inscription on Lord Akhenaton’s resting place?
I don’ t care if people remember me or not. On the tombstone of this body write: HERE SLEEPS ETERNITY.
What can you tell us about Wind of Sirius ?
Wind Of Sirius is a band with Me, Ex-AMAYMON and Ex-MUTILATED / ABYSSALS and a friend from a Medieval Band / MATUTINA -NOCTEM. We will release our first CD later this year . Musically it will be in the vein of AKHENATON but more Symphonic, technical an heavy !
